  • Detailed description
  • 2D X-ray Principle
  • Common Failure Analysis of Encapsulated ICs and PCBs
    • Commodity name: X-ray Inspection (2D X-RAY)

Long-term Analysis of Equipment Usage: Dage Quadra 7 Pro

  • Based on the absorption and scattering properties of materials with X-rays—X-rays are generated by an X-ray tube, where an electric current heats the cathode, releasing free electrons. These free electrons are then accelerated toward the anode under high voltage, where they are converted into X-rays. The X-rays are directed onto the sample surface, enabling them to penetrate the material and reveal its absorption and scattering characteristics.

High density → Absorbs more → Develops bright white

Low density → Less absorption → Develops darker tones
